Sherri Bee

Hi Everybody, If you are interested in me becoming a new member of your family please complete the Application to Adopt that you will find here and remember to ask for me, Sherri Bee 4169. My name is Sherri Bee! My GO Boxer Rescue ID is 4169. As you’ll see from my pictures, I’m such a cutie pie. You can also see a couple videos of me below.

I first came to GOBR thanks to a nice couple who saw my first owner not being so nice to me on the side of the road. The people that took me away knew there was something wrong with my front left leg and they didn’t have the money to fix me up so they called the nice people at GOBR.

I got to go to a great home with my first Foster Mommy and her. She was sooo nice to me. After seeing the Veteinarian man near here I was referred to Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital to see a Orthopedic Specialist. My Foster Mom and the GOBR Director took took me to OSU and I had a surgery there that everyone had hopes would fix my broken leg which was estimated to have been broken for at least 3 to 4 weeks by then. They tired really hard and I did everything I was supposed to with no playing and doing my physical therapy.

My first Foster Mommy moved out of Ohio, so I went to a new Foster Mom who has two other boxers and I LOVE to play with them! After a few weeks at her house, she noticed that I was not using my left leg at all and my muscle atrophy in that leg was getting worse. She called the doctor and he said he had thought this may happen because the surgery was difficult. So I had another surgery. This time they took that painful, non-working left leg off of me. And, let me tell you I feel so much better now!! I can run so fast and I can jump on the bed and couch and it doesn’t hurt anymore!! Now I can cuddle with my Foster Mom real close because I’m not scared that it’ll hurt my leg anymore. Now I can out run my foster sister Bailey and she is super-fast! I am so happy and don’t for a second think that my rough start in life efforts me now, my Foster Moms have shown me a lot of love and I am as happy as a puppy can be!

Oh Mom said I have to tell you that I am UTD on all my shots and heartworm negative and all that stuff. I am 5 months old now too. While I don’tt know my exact birth date, they are estimating it as right around the first of January this year. I know how to sit, lay down, and I’m working on everything else. I’m really smart but I had a hard time learning when my leg was hurting.

I can’t wait to meet my forever family! I am good with kids, other dogs, and even cats! If you think you would like me to be your forever best friend fill out an application to adopt like I said above and ask for me, Sherri Bee 4169!!!
