Hi Everyone, My name is Piper Anne.
I'm a black brindle girl who just turned one year old on January 22nd.  My past Mom had to give me to GOBR to find me a great new home because she has severe health problems now.

GOBR has known about me since last May though! Back then, I actually met some of the people from GOBR, and a couple of their Boxers.

In May, 2011, I also got to meet a whole lot of other Boxers and people at the American Boxer Club National Dog Show. My Mom took me there for an Echocardiogram when I was 3.5 months old.
Going to the American Boxer Club Nationals was a really exciting trip for a little pup like me.  Everyone said I was so good though! While the Echocardiogram was being done, I laid still with my Mom and Rachel from GOBR.  They helped the Vet Man to keep me still while he listened and looked at my heart.
This all came about because the Vet Man my Mom had taken me to for my puppy shots had heard a heart murmur.  He told my Mom I should have the Echo test done to see what was really going on. Being a great mom, that is exactly what she did!
The Vet Man who did the Echo said I had Subaortic Stenosis (SAS) and gave my Mom the name of the medicine I should be put on.  My Mom then took that to the Vet Man near where I lived and got the prescription filled. I've been taking it ever since.  It has worked wonders.  I've not had any problems at all since then.  I run and play just like any other one year old Boxer girl!
Now that I am with GOBR and my foster home, I am living with a bunch of other dogs.  I love playing with all the other Boxers, the St Bernard (that one scared me at first when I saw it as it is SOOOOO big), and a Miniature Schnauzer.  There are lots of people around too, and I love cuddling with them all.
I went to see another Vet Man on 1 Feb and he said other than my murmur deal I am a very healthy Boxer girl.  He wants me to have one of those Echo tests again before he will spay me.  I certainly don't know what that is, but my Foster Mom has told me it will help keep me healthy and happy.  As soon as we can get that Echo thing done we'll know more.
Don't you want to think about bringing me into your home to add to your family?  I'm sure I'd make you so happy, and I'll for sure give lots of kisses and loving that you can cherish forever.  Please go to and complete the online Application to Adopt that you will find there, and don't forget to mention my name - Piper Anne.  Look forward to meeting you soon.
Truly yours,
Piper Anne
