Hello,
there! I am Max. If you have a few moments, I would love
to tell you about what a wonderful 3 year old Boxer boy I am.
I came
into GO Boxer Rescue and immediately showed my Foster family
all my special qualities. First of all, I am very good with
other dogs and have fallen in love with my Boxer brother,
Killien. He doesn’t seem as energetic as me (he’s a bit
older), but he still keeps me busy with lots of play.
Speaking
of play, you should see me box. Boy, do I have some
skills. I also can run, jump, play fetch, and shake toys
back and forth. Don’t worry though, as soon as you tell
me to settle down, I do it right away!
Lots of
Boxer play also equals lots of down time. As much as I like to
play, I equally enjoy snuggling with my humans, curling up on
a comfy chair, and following you around. A good roll on the
floor to scratch my back is also pretty satisfying.
Another
quality about me that you can add to your checklist is that I
am great with kiddos! I really enjoy them and especially
like when they take me for walks. I never pull on the
leash because I’m a “go with the flow” type of guy.
My “go
with the flow” attitude, however, does not seem to mesh with
the doggy crate. This is not my favorite thing. When it
is time for me to go into the crate, I try to hide or stand as
still as a statue. I’ve learned though that if you talk nice
to me and give me a nudge, I’ll go in. Once I’m in, I’m
okay, but I’d prefer to be out and about with you.
Finally,
I also wanted to let you know that I am almost house-trained,
up-to-date on my shots, and micro-chipped. My Foster
family has me on heartworm preventative and I am heartworm
negative.
Thank
you for reading about all my great qualities. Don’t you
agree that I am one great Boxer boy? If you think I
would be that perfect addition to you family, please put my
name, Max, on your GOBR application!
